Several direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are licensed for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in adult patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). This comparison table allows prescribers and other healthcare professionals to easily compare the characteristics of these medicines.
This publication was comprehensively updated in May 2025 to reflect changes to the respective SPCs and/or updated references. Where possible sections have been simplified and amended to reduce duplication and to consolidate some of the information. A contents page with hyperlinks to each section was added for easier navigation.
